for several years we listened to this song without vocals. even then, it felt like the struggle to hold on to hope and the desperation to find something new. when we first started looking for vocalists, we weren’t sure which direction to go. after asking for help from friends, we were lucky enough to be introduced notelle. with generous help from notelle and her friend, luma we were able to give a voice to the challenges we all experience in our constant search for hope.
lyrics
I’ve been changing
Tired from holding on
But I’ll be patient
Chasing dreams goes on for so long
Every moment
I’ve spent counting down the ways
It’s all worth it
To reach the end
To watch the day break
And when it comes
And when it’s fine
I’m looking back on
All the broken times
I never knew
That all the roads I walked
Would lead to you
They all lead to you
And when it comes
And when it’s fine
I’m looking back on
All the broken times
I never knew
That all the roads I walked
Would lead to you
They all lead to you
They all lead to you
They all lead to you
When I thought the world would break me
Holding on to hope would save me
Had to learn I had the strength inside
Even when my hands are shaking
Terrified of what I’m facing
Had to learn I had the strength inside
I’m done waiting
I’ll create outside the lines
Nothing’s fading
Cause in the dark I reach for your light
I’m still breathing
Growing stronger in the night
Knowing, praying
There’s another morning in sight
And when it comes
And when it’s fine
I’m looking back on
All the broken times
I never knew
That all the roads I walked
Would lead to you
They all lead to you
They all lead to you
They all lead to you
When I thought the world would break me
Holding on to hope would save me
Had to learn I had the strength inside
Even when my hands are shaking
Terrified of what I’m facing
Had to learn I had the strength inside
When I thought the world would break me
Holding on to hope would save me
Had to learn I had the strength inside
Even when my hands are shaking
Terrified of what I’m facing
Had to learn I had the strength inside
